The entire property is surrounded by perrenial gardens and woods with no lawn to maintain.

Docksite and Garage

Desirable docksite number 135 has a generous cement patio, a large storage shed with redwood double doors, redwood stair rail, and pea gravel parking area. Tuckpointing was done late 2008.

This docksite is located on a prominent point with commanding views. Encapsulated floatation was added in 2008 as were new retaining cables.

The garage is an oversized double with lots of built in cabinets and a double sink. A new electronic remote controlled door opener was installed in 2008.

Kitchen

The orginal kitchen was gutted in 2003 and replaced with solid cherry cabinetry, stainless steel Whirlpool Gold applicances, Italian tumbled tile, and solid surface countertops. One can get a spectacular view of the lake while cooking at the gas cooktop.

Entry, Living, Dining

The open floor plan of the main part of the house is very flexible according to your needs. Walls of windows give you an 180 degree panorama to the east. In 2007 a lanai door was installed between the living room and the screen porch creating a 9 foot opening from the inside of the house to outdoors, allowing views of the fireplace from the porch and spectacular lake views from the living room as well as the entry hall. There is a handy pocket door to the kitchen.

The main focal point of the house, the fireplace, is raw marble in cream, grays, and salmon pink tones. It was replumbed for gas with new gas logs in 2006. A solid wood bench constructed from the leftover 4 x 6 ceiling timbers frames the fireplace opening. The fireplace marble extends to the 14 foot vaulted wood ceiling and opens 360 degrees in an hexagonal shape into the kitchen and entry hall in addition to the living-dining area.

Double paned nine window entry door is new from 2005. Next to that is a cedar lined double closet.

Screen Porch & Decks

Large screened-in porch with redwood floor, walls, and ceiling. Features include vaulted ceiling, built in natural gas grill (no tanks to mess with), ceiling fan, outdoor speakers, privacy.

Click on the arrow for a short video demonstration of how easily the triple lanai door operates both as a regular door and fully extended to completely open the living room to the screened porch and outdoors. You can enjoy the treehouse effect everyday, rain or shine.

Autumn colors are enjoyed daily in the Fall from the screened in porch. Wider lakeviews from the porch, deck, and house are offered in wintertime.

Sunrise from the screen porch which faces due East. Spectacular evening moonrises are always a fun surprise as well.

The open deck off the screen porch was built in 1998 with the redwood restored in 2003. It offers the best view of the lake from the house in all seasons. A catwalk deck leads to the south master bedroom.

Cozy nook on the open deck.

Views from the living room with the lanai door open to the screened-in porch.

Northeast catwalk deck leading from the screen porch to the north master guest bedroom.

In the Spring of 2011 the new owners expanded and reconfigured the large open south deck. They added a hot tub, outdoor kitchen including a pizza oven, grills, storage, and built in serving/eating area. They also added a staircase leading to the lower patio thereby incorporating the two separate areas into one large flowing entertainment space.

Notice the new pergola perfectly matches the style of the front porch pergola. One would never think the two areas were built over ten years apart.

This almost makes me wish it was still ours. Great job Pete!!! Enjoy it.

Here is how Pete connected the upper deck with the lower patio.  Brilliant.  He just had the redwood finished and it appears he used Sikkens again.  Pete and his architect have done a great job of blending the new construction with the previous additions.

South Master Bed and Bath

Ensuite large master bedroom easily accomodates a queen or king bed, and offers quarter inch pecan paneling with exterior Anderson double glazed sliding door off the deck, 2 smaller windows, and two closets, one single and one double. The bathroom was remodeled in 2002 with a full sized walk-in shower, Grohe hand-held shower head in addition to Moen wall mounted shower head, tumbled Italian tile on shower, floor, top of the line Kohler vanity, and linen closet.

North Master Guest Bed & Bath

Mirroring the South Master bedroom and bath, the same dimensions, design, and materials also appear in the guest bedroom and bath. The bath was remodeled in 2003 with tumbled Italian tile and Moen hand-held shower in addition to Moen wall mount shower head, but also incudes a bath tub. A linen closet is in the bathroom, and across the hall is a second cedar lined double closet.

Currently this guest bedroom serves as the TV room with a fold out couch with a queen bed. An Anderson double paned sliding door leads to the catwalk deck to the screen porch to the South, and to the North a small staircase leads to a small flagstone porch open to the backyard or entry to the garage.
